Taming the Inner Critic and Mind Chatter

In this episode I continue to offer you ways to limit and disengage from the ceaseless inner critic and monkey mind chatter that is going on within all of us. It’s not something you can stop entirely however you can calm it down and direct it to be a cheerleader rather than a powerful negative influence that is always critical of every thought, word and action that makes up your day.

Left alone this inner chatter has the potential to sabotage your goals and dreams leaving you with unwanted results day in and day out. Leaving this voice unrestrained and running rampant is an inefficient and ineffective way to move through your days while at the same time expecting positive outcomes.

In this episode I share several different techniques you can use to tame this monkey mind and develop supportive inner commentary. Becoming aware of habitual negative thought patterns and word tracks then replacing them will feel like a breath of fresh air plus you’ll start to feel good about yourself as you see daily positive results.

When you feel good about your day and the movement you made in the direction of your dream, you’ll quiet the negative inner dialogue even more because your mind will tend to speak positive words of support and encouragement.

Strive for Excellence in this Moment

Why You Might Be Stuck – Part Two

This show is about helping you to make a quantum leap from where you are now to where you want to be; the realization of your greatest vision for your life, personally and professionally.

Of course the first step is getting started by deciding what it is you want by identifying your dreams and desires for you personally and / or your objectives professionally for your small business or on your corporate teams.

I have found that even this step is difficult for most people. They get stuck on the ‘how’? They get stuck by not giving themselves permission to dream big enough and the list goes on. Then even if they do decide on the one big dream goal they are going to pursue, there comes a few roadblocks where almost everyone gets stuck.

Here are a few of the stoppers we’ve explored in this episode and the previous one:

Paradigms – Beliefs – Expectation – Keeping Score – Consistency – Non-Action – Word Tracks – Attitude – Commitment – Emotional State – Awareness of Spiritual Energy and Presence

If you are aware of these stoppers at the beginning of your quest you can identify them when you are stuck then get to work on the solutions to move you along your way and into your quantum leap.

In this episode and the previous one, I help you to identify where you might be stuck. We’ll run through this list to help you observe if any of these things are getting in your way. Identifying what is stopping you is the first step in overcoming the obstacle.

In this podcast episode I go back to basics. I talk about where the life we are living originates in all all of us. It all starts with your thoughts so be sure your thoughts are yours and not someone else’s that may have been planted in your mind either a long time ago or yesterday.
