Developing Desire and Passion – Step 3

Learning how to develop desire and passion, in yourself and others, is a unique leadership skill that is essential for your desired growth.

Desire and passion are necessary elements in the pursuit of worthy ideals especially when it comes to making those quantum leaps in the direction of all you desire to experience personally and professionally.

In the book “The 5 Pillars of Leadership; How to Bridge the Leadership Gap” by Paul J. Meyer, founder of Leadership Management International and Rand Slechta, LMI’s current CEO, we find this insight:

“The desire and passion with which you and your team members face a challenge is an essential part of the soul of your organization. Without it, you and your team lack spiritual guidance and creative expression. Without desire and passion, there is no intuition; missing is the still small voice within you to provide insight into both situations and people. Without desire and passion, all of your talents and abilities tend to lie fallow and unresponsive; your potential is hidden, buried and dormant.”

In the last episode I explored step two, this episode focuses on step three. I suggest going back and listening to the last few episodes. I will discuss step four in the next episode and then wrap up this series with step five in the episode after that.

Join me as I take a deep dive into all five steps to developing desire and passion as shared by these two brilliant authors in this spectacular book. I highly recommend you get your own copy.

Set the intention now to no longer allow your infinite potential to remain hidden, buried and dormant. Commit to not only listening to this podcast but also applying the wisdom shared to your unique situation and taking action based on what you take away from these episodes.

The Vault: Your Connecting Point to Infinite Wisdom and Guidance

I hope you enjoyed last week’s “Fresh Start” episode. There is no time like the present to create a new beginning. I shared some ideas to help you jump start your journey toward the life you would love to live personally and professionally. I also spoke about how this applies to personal and professional leadership development that contributes to productivity and performance improvement within your corporate structure thereby enhancing your company’s culture.

If you haven’t already, go back and listen to last week’s episode. If you are still struggling or feeling a little stuck about moving forward or identifying your goals to make your new start, listen to this episode immediately.

There is a place you can go right now for the answers you may be searching for. This ‘Vault’ I’m referring to contains all the wisdom, inspiration and guidance you’ll ever need in order to discern and intuit your next step.

This is where most people and companies stumble. They never access ‘The Vault.’ They never even go up to the door and knock. Most will allow the habitual behavior and the inner programming to once again take over all of their thoughts, words and actions. When they allow this to happen, they will most certainly find themselves in the same place they are now; even twelve months, three years or more, from right now.

Don’t let this be you! Make a new choice today. Decide right now to absolutely refuse to allow another year to go by without having experienced any growth or the realization of your most outrageous dreams.

Mental Faculties II: Intuition

Becoming aware of and then developing our six mental faculties is the key to learning to live life from the inside out rather than from the outside in. When we cultivate these faculties, we quickly see how they become supportive of everything we desire to accomplish in life both personally and professionally.

Life for most is a series of reactions to what is happening in the world around them. We don’t have control over what’s happening outside of us so that’s a very ineffective way to live life, especially if we have big dreams and goals we would like to accomplish. Stay tuned to this podcast as we move through each of these faculties.

Last week we explored imagination and the power we have to use it, creating anything we wish to be, do and have. It all starts with thought and using the imagination to develop that thought into what would satisfy our deepest desires.

This week we explore the faculty of our intuition. The inner nudging that prompts us along our way as we listen for its guidance then take action. As we develop this and hold our intention firmly in consciousness, this inner voice will always guide us to the people, places, situations, circumstances, and events that will make manifest our intention in the quickest way possible with ease and grace.

Listen in as I take this deeper.
