The Power of Positive Expectancy
Expect Good—and Prepare to Receive It
What are you expecting from life?
There is a powerful difference between simply hoping for something good and living with positive expectancy. Our expectations influence what we notice, the questions we ask, the opportunities we recognize, and ultimately the actions we take.
In this episode of The Genesis Frequency, Dr. Stephen J. Kosmyna explores how positive expectancy can become a powerful force in goal achievement, personal growth, resilience, and everyday living. You’ll discover why expectancy is much more than positive thinking, how our inner conversations can either reinforce fear or open us to possibility, and why Big Dream Goals require us to expect opportunities before we can always see how they’ll unfold.
You’ll also hear a simple seven-day practice designed to shift your attention toward possibility and purposeful action.
And there’s another fascinating dimension to expectancy: longevity. What we expect from the years ahead can influence how actively and intentionally we engage with life. Having goals, meaningful relationships, new experiences, and something to look forward to can help us remain engaged with our future rather than simply growing older.
Longevity isn’t only about adding years to life. It’s about adding life to the years.
So, what good are you expecting today?
Listen in and discover how changing your expectations may begin changing the way you approach your goals, your health, your future—and the life you would truly love to live.

Part Two: Inner Peace Is Not Passive (Leadership)
Part Two: Inner Peace Is Not Passive – Five Practices for Living From the Inside Out
In this second part of our exploration of inner peace, we move beyond the idea of peace as a feeling and into peace as a disciplined way of living, leading, and creating.
In a world filled with noise, polarization, pressure, and constant reaction, true inner peace is not passive withdrawal — it is trained strength. It is the ability to remain grounded, clear, and intentional while fully engaged with life.
Building on the themes from Part One, this episode focuses on five practical principles that help you live from the inside out, no matter what is happening around you. We explore how inner peace shows up in leadership, decision-making, relationships, and personal growth — and why it is one of the most powerful assets you can develop in today’s world.
You’ll learn how to:
- Stay engaged in action without becoming attached to outcomes
- Respond from awareness rather than emotional impulse
- Simplify the inner narratives that create stress and confusion
- Cultivate compassion — especially toward yourself — without losing strength
- Develop a daily practice of living from your inner center
This episode is especially relevant for leaders, professionals, creatives, and anyone seeking clarity, resilience, and emotional intelligence in an unpredictable world.
Inner peace is not something you wait for.
It is something you practice, choose, and embody — every day.

Taming the Inner Critic and Mind Chatter
In this episode I continue to offer you ways to limit and disengage from the ceaseless inner critic and monkey mind chatter that is going on within all of us. It’s not something you can stop entirely however you can calm it down and direct it to be a cheerleader rather than a powerful negative influence that is always critical of every thought, word and action that makes up your day.
Left alone this inner chatter has the potential to sabotage your goals and dreams leaving you with unwanted results day in and day out. Leaving this voice unrestrained and running rampant is an inefficient and ineffective way to move through your days while at the same time expecting positive outcomes.
In this episode I share several different techniques you can use to tame this monkey mind and develop supportive inner commentary. Becoming aware of habitual negative thought patterns and word tracks then replacing them will feel like a breath of fresh air plus you’ll start to feel good about yourself as you see daily positive results.
When you feel good about your day and the movement you made in the direction of your dream, you’ll quiet the negative inner dialogue even more because your mind will tend to speak positive words of support and encouragement.
Listen now and develop these positive practices. They will begin to totally transform your life and the results that show up for you day in and day out will be astonishing.
